Is it possible to run MALA with the new 64bit versions of MAME? I get major slowdown issues. If I use MAMEUI64 without MALA, everything is perfect. If I use MAMEUI64 with MALA everything is lagged. Every keypress takes 5 seconds or longer to register. I have also tried using the official binaries of MAME v.123 64bit and compiling my own 64bit version from the source. MALA works flawlessly with MAME v.123 32bit builds.
If 64bit is not supported, will it be in the future?
Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks!
I just registered to plop my opinion in here as well. I tried MaLa for the first time since upgrading to a 64bit OS, and was really happy with it.
However, I had the same problem where MaLa runs the 64bit mame extremely slow. I think its related to the keyhook, as Mame runs fine until I press a key, the keystroke is then never registered in mame, and Mame begins to run extremely slow.
This happened in both Vista and XP 64-bit versions. 32bit mame runs just fine using the same settings.
As 64 bit becomes more popular, it would be really great for all MaLa users to be able to switch over, and have all their work setting up the front end not go to waste. Please look into this issue, it would be great to have MaLa running flawlessly in 64 bit.
Thanks!
